Are you an inspiring curator with a passion for regional and Australian art? The New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM) is seeking a Curator and Exhibitions Manager to lead our dynamic exhibition program, interpret and display NERAM’s significant collections, and engage our community through innovative curatorial projects.
At NERAM you will work with one of the most significant art collections in regional Australia. NERAM is home to the Howard Hinton Collection, the Chandler Coventry Collection, the Armidale City Collection, the NERAM Collection and the FT Wimble & Co. Collection at the Museum of Printing.
As a key member of our team, you’ll develop and deliver thought-provoking exhibitions, collaborate with artists and stakeholders, and contribute to NERAM’s vision to be a vibrant cultural meeting place and iconic destination for the New England region, where local and national arts converge to inspire community connection, creativity, and lifelong learning. We’re looking for a creative and strategic thinker with extensive curatorial experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep appreciation for art in regional contexts.
Employment Type: Full-time, Ongoing
Hours: 38 hours/week
Salary: 70,000–70,000–88,000 AUD + 11.5% superannuation

Eligibility:
- Degree in Art History, Arts Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience curating exhibitions in museums/galleries, including installation.
- Strong project management, grant-writing, and budget skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Established professional networks in the arts sector.
- NSW Driver’s License (or equivalent).
