Organizer Information

The Interventionistische Linke (IL) is a German radical-left, undogmatic political network active in areas including anti-fascism, anti-racism, queer feminism, climate protection, health policy, and housing policy. It emerged from a series of preparatory and open working conferences beginning in the mid-2000s, bringing together local and regional left-wing groups and individuals under a shared, loosely federated structure that has become increasingly organized over time. The network publishes its own biannual magazine, arranca!, and is closely associated with the publication analyse & kritik. This open call is issued in connection with the IL's national conference, "An den Kipppunkten. Linke Strategien für die Zukunft" ("At the Tipping Points. Left Strategies for the Future"), taking place in Berlin from 23–25 October 2026.

Title & Description

Open Call for the Poster Art Exhibition at the Conference of the Interventionistische Linke, 23–25 October 2026, Berlin

This is an open call for a poster art and political graphics exhibition to be held at the IL's national conference in Berlin. The call situates itself within a tradition of left-wing poster art and political graphic work, citing examples from Käthe Kollwitz's leaflets to Chinese propaganda posters, comic art, and memes. Submitting artists are invited to translate counter-designs to the political status quo into a bold, poster-like visual language, to make visible what already sustains and strengthens today's left movements, and to reflect on the graphic elements, colors, and symbols that connect people collectively. Selected works will be exhibited during the conference; details of the accompanying vernissage will be announced separately.
