Organizer Information:
The Museum of Loss and Renewal. This residency is devised by Tracy Mackenna in partnership with writers Elizabeth K Reeder and Amanda Thomson. The Museum focuses on integrating art, co-learning, and society, with themes of loss and renewal running through its durational engagements.

Applications are open for the Group Residency Programme: WRITING with PLACE.
This 8-day group residency aims to develop experimental and inventive approaches to "writing" that respond to place. Residents will engage in slow-looking, deep listening, and guided walks in and around the village of Collemacchia—exploring pre-Roman/Roman sites and places of occupation, abandonment, and renewal.

Writing & Multidisciplinary (Open to creative practices, research, writing, poetry, performance, scenography, and education).
Eligibility:
- Who: Open to creative practitioners from any country at any stage of their career (from emerging to highly experienced).
- Language: Applicants MUST have a good working knowledge of English.
- Cohort Size: The group is kept very small, comprising approximately 9 participants.
- Groups: Applications from duos and partnerships are welcomed.
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Workspace: Excellent studio spaces (indoor and outdoor making spaces) and desk space with internet.
- Accommodation: Provided in recently renovated, comfortable houses located a short walk from the studios. (Single, twin, and double rooms available; single use can be allocated based on access needs).
- Meals: Fully catered. Three meals a day prepared by a cook using mainly locally sourced ingredients (Vegan and vegetarian diets can be accommodated).
- Mentorship & Activities: Guided walks, site visits, readings, collective/individual working sessions, and facilitated discussions led by expert practitioners.
- Local Transport: Collection and drop-off at the local train/bus station (Venafro) is included.
Application Fee & Program Costs:
- Program Fee: This is a paid residency. The fee is €1,750 (Euro) paid by the resident.
- Deposit Rules: A 50% deposit is payable within three weeks of being offered a place, and it is strictly non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before the start date.
- Travel: Residents are responsible for funding and organizing their own travel to Italy (closest airports: Naples, Rome), as well as their own insurance and visas.
