RAD Art Fair is an international contemporary art fair based in Bucharest, Romania, established to highlight leading and emerging voices in the Romanian and broader European art scene. Held annually at CARO Bucharest, the fair brings together galleries, project spaces, and artist-run initiatives that contribute to the dynamism of contemporary artistic production. RAD fosters dialogue between historic and contemporary practices and supports organisations with active, year-round programming. RAD Art Fair 2026 – Call for Galleries & Contemporary Art Spaces
RAD Art Fair invites Romanian and international contemporary art spaces to apply for participation in the 2026 edition, taking place April 23–26, 2026, at CARO, Bucharest. This open call is designed for galleries, project spaces, and independent art organisations presenting high-quality curatorial programs, strong artistic visions, and consistent activity throughout the year. Applicants may choose between two major sectors: the Galleries Sector, dedicated to established galleries, and the Platform Sector, designed for newer project spaces or galleries founded after May 1, 2021. The fair emphasises artistic excellence, curatorial relevance, and meaningful engagement with contemporary artistic production, offering participants visibility within Romania’s growing international art scene.

Eligibility
- Romanian contemporary art spaces.
- International galleries with a strong connection to the Romanian art scene.
- Applicants must run a year-round program with at least four exhibitions per year and regular public hours.
- Platform Sector: Only for galleries or project spaces established after May 1, 2021.
Program Benefits & Awards
- Participation in a major international art fair hosted in Bucharest.
- Choice of booth size in the Galleries sector:
- Large (~25 sqm) – €4,000
- Medium (~15 sqm) – €3,000
- Small (~10 sqm) – €2,000
- Platform participants may receive a six-month mentorship program with a leading RAD gallerist.
- Exposure to collectors, curators, institutions, and press.
- Professional networking and increased visibility within the Romanian and European art markets.
- Optional submission of additional press and portfolio material to support gallery visibility.
Application Fee
- RON 250 / EUR 50 (mandatory for all applicants).
- Proof of payment must be uploaded during submission.
Application Requirements
- Booth concept (max. 1000 characters).
- Booth renderings (up to 3 images).
- Gallery exhibition-view images with captions.
- List of proposed artists + artist bios (max. 500 characters each).
- Up to 5 artworks per artist.
- Highlights from the last two years (projects, exhibitions, collaborations).
- Art fair participations (2024–2026).
Platform Sector additionally requires: - Program description & motivation (1000 characters).
