Short Description:

The Resonance Grants program, launched by the French-Australian Cultural Exchange Foundation (FACEF), is designed to support visual arts projects and research initiatives that foster collaboration between France and Australia. This inaugural grant scheme aims to enhance cultural exchange by facilitating exhibitions, artistic projects, and curatorial research trips between the two countries.

  • Purpose:
    To support exhibitions and artistic projects, and facilitate curatorial research trips that promote collaboration between France and Australia in the visual arts sector.
  • Funding:
    Eligible projects may receive funding of up to AUD $15,000.
  • Priority Areas:
    The program prioritizes innovative practices and the creation of new works.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Exhibitions and Artistic Projects:
    Applications must be submitted by eligible artistic organizations, not individual artists. Projects should be affiliated with the visual arts and initiated by non-profit organizations such as:
    • Contemporary art centers
    • Museums
    • Artist-run spaces
    • Project spaces
    • Art education institutions
    • Research centers
    • Online curatorial or artistic projects
  • Curatorial Research Trips:
    Curators may submit applications directly. Projects must demonstrate a clear link to a specific curatorial or exhibition context, such as an art center, institution, or major event.

Application Deadline:

    From Thursday, 18 September 2025, until Sunday, 26 October 2025, at 12:00 pm CET / 10:00 pm AEDT.
  • Notification: Qualified candidates will be contacted by January 2026.
