Organizer Information
Rossonove is an independent non-profit association based in Alassio, along the Western Ligurian coast of Italy. Dedicated to site-specific artistic interventions and landscape transformations, the organization works in collaboration with partners such as the Trasformatorio Foundation and Radio Antidoto. Operating under the guiding philosophy of “zero land consumption,” Rossonove resists new construction and commercial real estate exploitation by encouraging artists to temporarily inhabit, research, and reimagine existing, abandoned, or contested spaces.
Title & Description
Rossonove Artist Residency 2027: Zero Land Consumption — Call for Artists
Rossonove has launched its open call for 3-week site-specific artist residencies across Western Liguria, taking place between March–June and October–November 2027. Prompted by Bruno Latour's reflection on ecological mutation, the program invites creators across all creative disciplines to engage directly with the contested landscapes of the Ligurian coast—including a former naval shipyard, an old oil mill, abandoned hotels, former quarries, an ancient Roman road, and contested beaches. Resident artists use their practices as catalysts to generate alternative narratives, reconnect local communities to their environments, and explore spatial justice.
