Organizer Information
SAGE Community Arts (Art in Sheridan) is a nonprofit visual arts organization based in Sheridan, Wyoming. Its mission is to “build and inspire community through the visual arts” by offering gallery exhibitions, educational programming, and opportunities for local and national artists.
The SAGE gallery hosts multiple rotating exhibitions annually, including national juried shows and community-focused calls.
Title & Description
11th Annual Juried Photography Show – Black & White
SAGE Community Arts is organizing its 11th Annual Photography Show, this year with a Black & White theme. According to local press, this edition highlights the expressive power of monochrome photography — from stark contrasts to subtle gradations of tone — exploring how the absence of color can amplify narrative, texture, and emotion.
The show is juried, with Alex Pidgeon serving as the juror for the 2025-2026 edition.
The exhibition is set to run from January 20, 2026, to March 7, 2026, in SAGE’s gallery space in Sheridan.

Eligibility
- Open to all artists residing in the US. All work must be original and created within the past five years and cannot have been included in a prior SAGE Juried Photography show. Artists may resubmit photos that were not juried into a previous Juried Show at SAGE.
- Printed photos cannot exceed 36 inches in width (including any framing). Accepted photos must be exhibit-ready with a proper hanging mechanism included (no saw-tooth hangers or clip-on frames will be accepted).
Program Benefits & Awards
- Prize Pool: According to a call listing, there is US$2,700 in awards.
- Exhibition: Selected works will be shown in the SAGE gallery in Sheridan during the exhibition period (20 Jan – 7 Mar 2026).
- Visibility: Participation provides visibility in SAGE’s gallery and to the local (Sheridan) art community.

- Agreement to loan the selected works for exhibition
