Short Description
SAIKONEON Artist-in-Residence was established in April 2019 as a platform dedicated to research, creation, and exchange among diverse creators who transcend disciplinary boundaries. Situated on the serene shores of Lake Saiko in Yamanashi Prefecture, the residency offers a rich natural environment under the majestic presence of Mount Fuji, yet remains less than two and a half hours from Tokyo.
Since its founding, SAIKONEON has welcomed artists and designers from around the world working across a wide spectrum of media — including painting, photography, film, visual art, dance performance, and installation.
