Sea Art House Residency

Short Description:

nce a year, Sea Art House offers a residency completely free of charge. This year we are happy to invite two artists. The residency runs between August 25 and September 3, 2025

During your residency we can help you to arrange trips to the major interesting places.

After completion of the residence, we document artists’ participation and publish a lasting legacy on our website and social media accounts.

Partners and families are welcome at a small additional cost as agreed during the application process.

Theme: This year, we welcome artists who are inspired to explore the relations between art and society, art and spirituality, or art as creating visions of possible futures. Howver, these themes serve as an open framework rather than fixed boundaries, encouraging creative interpretations and new perspectives.

Submission Requirements:

To apply, please send to us:

Short bio – no more than 500 words – (listing past exhibitions, residencies, and related experiences)

Artist statement or other relevant information about your work

6-10 images of your work (or links to web page) (Images should be sized no larger than 3MB each) along with a list of work stating title, material, dimensions, date; or links to 5 videos of current work (10 minutes in length or less).

Summary of proposal (description of the work you would like to do during the residency, including the type of materials you would prefer to work with (no more than 500 words). Artists are also invited to submit information about their interests during the residency, such as having an exhibition or a seminar, master class, etc.

Information about the type of residency you wish to attend: family residency, visiting residency, or fixed-term residency, as well as preference for time of residency. Residencies range from 1 week to 4 months

We reserve the right not to notify each applicant separately about the selection process. The selected applicant/s will be notified by email

Eligibility:

The call is open to all those who wish to apply worldwide.

Program Benefits or Awards:

The program includes a free accomodation in one of the double rooms and unlimited use of studio and equipment (plus the opportunity to invite a friend). Art materials, travel, and food expenses are the responsibility of the artist. The result of the residency will be published and promoted on the website of Sea Art House, as well as on social networks.
