Short Description
The SOON Artists in Residency Program provides selected artists with a live/work space above our gallery in Vienna. The program is designed to support artists in developing their practice in a focused, supportive environment.
Each residency culminates in an exhibition at SOON Gallery, showcasing work created during the residency period. Artists also have the opportunity to engage with the local art community through workshops, talks, and other events.
Eligibility
Emerging Artists: Artists in the early stages of their career looking to develop their practice and gain exhibition experience.
Mid-Career Artists: Established artists seeking time and space to explore new directions or complete specific projects.
International Artists: Artists from around the world interested in engaging with Vienna’s art scene and cultural context.
Multidisciplinary Practitioners: Artists working across various media and disciplines, including painting, street art, photography, dance, and more.
Research-Based Artists: Artists whose practice involves deep research and engagement with specific themes or contexts.
Collaborative Duos: Artist duos or small collectives working together on joint projects (space permitting).

At the end of the residency, artists will have the chance to exhibit their works in the gallery, providing them with exposure and the opportunity to connect with a wider audience. - Feedback and Support
Artists will receive constructive feedback on their works from peers and mentors, enhancing their creative process and professional development.
