Short Description
The Sounds of the Future Residency at Sound Art Lab (SAL) is a 3-week funded residency for professional sound artists exploring sound art, recording, and experimentation. The program provides studio access, accommodation, and financial support, fostering development within the Danish sound art scene.
Public Presentation Requirement
Artists must give a presentation or artist talk at Sound Art Lab or in their own environment
Applicants will be notified within one month after the deadline
Special Conditions
Cannot receive funding from multiple Koda Kultur pools for the same project phase
Residency Duration: 3 consecutive weeks
May Deadline: Residency between July – December
November Deadline: Residency between January – June
Location: Sound Art Lab, Struer, Denmark
Financial Support: 10,000 DKK per week (up to 3 weeks)

Eligibility
Artists with connections to the Danish sound art scene
Open to individuals and groups (but funding amount remains the same)
Students are not eligible
Applicants must meet Danish Composers’ Association (DKF) funding criteria
Foreign artists must contact Koda Kultur for a login before applying

Up to 30,000 DKK (≈ €4,000) for a 3-week residency
Covers travel, accommodation, artist fee, technical equipment, software, and consulting services
