Swimming Pool Gallery is an independent, artist-run exhibition space located on the border of Kreuzberg and Neukölln in Berlin. Operating as an experimental show-window gallery, it is dedicated to presenting emerging and mid-career artists working across contemporary media. The space functions as a public-facing window installation site, allowing artworks to interact directly with the urban environment. Its curatorial vision centers on emotional states, material experimentation, and the subtle or dynamic ways artworks “breathe” alongside city life. The gallery is committed to supporting diverse voices, cross-cultural dialogue, and collaborative artistic processes. Each exhibition is presented in a two-week format, offering artists the chance to engage with an ever-shifting audience of Berlin residents, passersby, and international visitors.

2026 Open Call for Experimental Window-Based Projects
Swimming Pool Gallery invites artists, collectives, and curators to propose experimental projects for its Spring–Autumn 2026 exhibition program. This open call seeks work that responds to the unique nature of a street-facing window gallery—projects that engage with emotion, materiality, visibility, transparency, or the fluid movement of the city. Proposals may be conceptual, sensory, site-specific, research-based, or materially innovative. Selected projects will be exhibited for two weeks, giving artists an opportunity to reach a diverse and continuous public audience throughout the day and night.
