Short Description
The “Dresden Grant in Photography“, awarded by the Dresdner Stiftung Kunst & Kultur der Ostsächsischen Sparkasse Dresden and the Technische Sammlungen Dresden, addresses photographers who work independently or full-time as photographers and/or have an artistic degree, can demonstrate at least one public solo exhibition or publication with her/his works of photography and who do not permanently reside in Dresden.
The intention of the residency grant is to offer contemporary photographers the freedom to realize their artistic ideas and enable them to engage with urban society and culture in Dresden.
The grant supports artistic and documentary projects that focus on photographic images and processes. The photographic exploration of the city of Dresden should play a central role, without necessarily limiting the artistic work to urban photography in a strict sense. On-site presence is expected.
