Short Description
The Institute of Art History at the University of Zurich is one of the largest art history institutes in Switzerland. The Chair of Medieval Art History is strong in research, internationally networked and interdisciplinary. It cooperates closely with local and regional art and cultural institutions.
Position & Tasks
Writing of a qualification thesis (habilitation) at the University of Zurich, implementation of three courses per year (each of 2 SWS), supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses as well as cooperation in the organization of events and research activities of the chair.
Who Can Apply?
You can expect a focus on medieval art history, an excellent doctorate, outstanding scientific potential and an interest in preparing a qualification thesis in the field of medieval art history. Research interests in the areas of ecocriticism/environmental humanities, mediality, materiality or visuality are particularly welcome.
Remuneration is based on cantonal guidelines. The employment is initially limited to three years and can then be extended by a maximum of three years.
