Short Description
The Res.Art Choreographic call promoted by Vivo Center represents a unique opportunity for young choreographers in contemporary dance. The initiative involves the selection of six choreographers aged between 18 and 36, to bring to the stage their choreographic creations performed by the Flyout transition company. Thanks to Resart, choreographers will be able to express their creativity, showing the audience their artistic vision. The project is an opportunity for those who wish to emerge in the art scene and consolidate their choreographic career. With the support of Vivocenter, young talents will have the opportunity to create innovative and engaging performances, enriching the landscape of contemporary dance in our country.
RES.ART call involves 6 choreographic residencies that will take place during the 2025 / 2026 season (roughly between October 2025 and June 2026 ) in Rome at the Vivo Center Studio in Via Archiano 8. The residency is aimed at contemporary dance choreographers who have at least one choreographic work already created with a minimum of 3 dancers on stage and/or published between 2021 and 2025. The production must be visible on video and included in the application through a link. The form will ask to indicate preferences regarding the project’s implementation period (during the selection phase, a greater availability will be positively considered).
Selection
The artistic directo of Vivo Center, having reviewed all the materials received, will select 6 choreographers to be included in the RES.ART 2025/2026 program. The outcome of the selection process will be communicated by 10/09/2025. The selected choreographers will be contacted to formalize their participation in RES.ART through a contract (see fac-simile). The contract must be signed within 7 days of the Vivo Center sending final documentation. Failure to sign within the indicated timeframe will result in disqualification, and the residency will be awarded to the next candidate on the list. The dates and modalities of the residencies will be determined by the artistic direction in collaboration with the choreographers.
