Brief Description

This juried, in-person exhibit is hosted in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and West Shore Community College to explore themes of loneliness, social isolation, connection, and resilient communities. The exhibit seeks to raise awareness of the global health crisis surrounding these issues through art. Accepted works will be displayed at the Ludington Arts Center, Michigan, from March 7 to March 29, 2025.

Eligibility

  • Open to national and international artists aged 18 and older.
  • Acceptable media: 2D and 3D works including painting, drawing, photography, digital art, sculpture, and installations.
  • Original works only; no reproductions or derivatives.

The exhibit explores the current state and reimagined future of loneliness, social isolation, social connection, relationships, and resilient communities.


How to Apply

  1. Register or log in to CAFE.
  2. Search for “LACA” or click “Apply Now” on the call page.
  3. Submit up to two works along with a 200-word artist statement for each piece.
  4. Pay the $30 nonrefundable entry fee via credit card or PayPal.

Submission Requirements

  • Up to two works per artist.
  • Each work must be accompanied by a unique artist statement (200 words max).
  • Works can be for sale or marked “NFS” (Not For Sale).
  • Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery.

Selection Process

Works will be juried, and acceptance is not guaranteed. Accepted works will also receive additional exposure through the Ludington Arts Center’s Facebook page.
