Short Description
Women Who Draw is a global, juried online exhibition organized by Mari Art Collective, which focuses on showcasing and promoting the work of women artists whose creative practice revolves around drawing and paper-based media. The initiative is intended to provide both visibility and sales opportunities for artists working in these traditional and experimental forms, offering exposure through a 6-month virtual exhibition plus ongoing archive presence.
Eligibility
To apply to Women Who Draw, you must meet these criteria:
- Identify as a woman; the call is open worldwide.
- Works must have drawing and paper as primary materials. This includes traditional drawing, illustration, experimental mark-making, mixed media where paper/drawing is central, etc.
- Any career stage is welcome — emerging, mid-career, or established.
- You should be able to prepare good quality images of your works, and provide basic documentation (title, size, medium, price etc.), plus an artist bio/statement.
How to Apply
Submit up to 3 works for consideration
Provide:
• high-quality images
• artwork details (title, size, medium, price)
• a short artist bio / artist statement
Complete the submission via their application form and pay the entry fee.
Entry Fees& Funding
- Entry fee: US $10 (non-refundable)
- Sales: Artists set their own prices; Mari retains a 20% commission, the artist keeps 80%
- After the 6-month exhibition period, works are removed from sale but remain visible in the online archive (no further sales)
Timeline
- Deadline: December 15, 2025
- Exhibition Opens: January 15, 2026
- Exhibition Closes / Sales End: June 2026
