Short Description:
The Young Curators Program (YCP) supports emerging curators based in Belgium, fostering collaboration between Dutch- and French-speaking professionals. The 2026 edition offers participants a unique opportunity to gain international exposure at the 61st Venice Biennale, working on IT NEVER SSST by Miet Warlop, a multidisciplinary project blending performance, music, and visual art. Six selected curators will work in bilingual duos during one of the programme’s terms in Venice.
Eligibility:
- Open to emerging curators residing in Belgium (Flanders, Brussels, or Wallonia).
- Non-Belgian nationals must provide a commune/gemeente certificate confirming at least two years of residence in Belgium.
- Applicants should have an interest in curating, live art, and mediation.
Fees:
- No application fee.
- Participation costs (accommodation and related expenses in Venice) are generally supported by the organisers and partners.

- CV (max. 2 pages)
- Motivation letter in English outlining your views on live art, curating, and mediation (max. 1 page)
- Indication of availability and preferred term
- (If applicable) Proof of Belgian residence for at least two years.
