Brief Description:
Kaunas AiR, part of the CreArt 3.0 Network, invites four visual artists (painters, photographers, and new media artists) from partner cities to participate in a six-week residency in Kaunas, Lithuania, from May 5 – June 15, 2025. The program supports artistic creation through studio access, networking, and final exhibitions.
Eligibility:
- Open to artists born or residing in CreArt 3.0 network cities, including:
- Kaunas (Lithuania), Liepaja (Latvia), Skopje (North Macedonia), Aveiro (Portugal), Valladolid (Spain), Venice (Italy), Clermont-Ferrand & Rouen (France), České Budějovice (Czech Republic), Oulu (Finland), Regensburg (Germany)
- Members of HDLU (Croatian Association of Visual Artists)
- Ukrainian artists (via Dialog from Lviv)
- No age limit, but a university-level art degree or proof of equivalent experience is required.
Theme:
Artists will work independently on their projects in painting, photography, or new media, with opportunities for collaboration, engagement with the local arts community, and final public presentations.

Residency Benefits & Features:
- Free studio & accommodation at Domus Pacis Guest House in Kaunas.
- Travel reimbursement up to €400.
- Grant: €600 + €300 for materials.

- Exhibition opening ceremony, media coverage, and printed catalog.
- One artwork must be donated to Kaunas Art Center (PI ‘Artkomas’).
Selection Process:
Applications will be reviewed by the Kaunas AiR team, and selected artists will be notified by March 21, 2025.
