Short Description

Currents 12 is an annual group exhibition featuring works by recent graduates from art academies in Belgium, the German Meuse-Rhine region, and the southern Netherlands. This edition, opening in February 2026 at Jester in Genk (BE), seeks a curatorial team (2-3 people) to select artists and shape the exhibition. The exhibition is a collaboration between Jester (Genk, BE), Marres (Maastricht, NL), Ludwig Forum Aachen (DE), and KANAL-Centre Pompidou (Brussels, BE) and includes a training and networking track as well as production residencies for select artists.

Curatorial Team Requirements:

Must enjoy working closely with emerging artists.

Strong writing skills.

Experience with production work and exhibition planning.

Must be available in June and July 2025 to travel to graduation exhibitions across Belgium and the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion.

Residency Requirement: Open only to curators residing in Belgium, the Netherlands, or Germany.

Compensation:

Honorarium provided.

Travel expenses reimbursed.
