Short Description

Wonju UNESCO City of Literature are offering an eight-week residency opportunity at the Toji Cultural Centre to writers connected to the cities that make up the Cities of Literature network. Applications will be accepted from writers who have a strong connection to Edinburgh, and that was illustrated by Martin MacInnes being selected in 2023.

How to Apply

To apply, please write between 1,000 and 2,000 in 12 pt covering each of the following points below. Please also describe your connection to a City of Literature. Applications should be sent to wonjucityoflit@korea.kr

  • Why would you like to come to Wonju
  • Your plan for creative works during Residency
  • How much you will contain Wonju Experience in your new creative works?

Program Benefits & Awards

The residency includes a round-trip air fare, transportation on arrival and departure dates, accommodation with a workspace, and organic meals at the Toji Cultural Centre cafeteria.
