Short Description
This call is launched with the aim of strengthening intercultural exchange between Ibero-American companies dedicated to Community Theatre and the community, providing resources and support for stage work that will culminate in a showcase to be held at Espacio Txawün, in the Niagara sector of the Commune of Padre Las Casas, Chile.
The organization En Tránsito from Temuco, through the Iberescena project, invites participation in the third Residency-Laboratory for the creation and experimentation of performing arts, held at the Artistic Creation Space Txawün. This residency offers artists resources for training, rehearsal, creation, research, and ongoing education.
Eligibility
This call is aimed at two companies working in the field of community theatre, which have had a project in their community for at least two years and are interested in expanding their artistic perspective.
Applicant companies must be based in one of the following member countries of the Iberescena program: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, or Uruguay.
We invite artists interested in developing a creative process based on artistic research with the community, which will culminate in an immersive work in the rural area of Espacio Txawün.
The selected companies may participate with 1 to 3 people per company.

En Tránsito proposes to provide the selected companies with a creative space and knowledge exchange sessions at Espacio Txawün, facilitated by the company La Heroica, aiming to enrich their experiences in community-based creation, culminating in an open presentation with the Txawün community.
A space will be made available for work, experimentation, and the creation of a community theatre piece during a two-week period from November 5 to November 14, 2025.
The organization commits to covering accommodation, meals, and international travel expenses for the selected creators from Iberescena Program member countries other than the host country.
The selected companies will participate in various activities during their stay:
- Practical creative work sessions, open rehearsals, and a space to share, challenge, or deepen the creative work with the artists.
- Exchange sessions, during which each company will share its creative processes and experiences. These meetings are intended to broaden perspectives and foster connections within the South American continent.
- Meetings, work, and exchange with the local community.
- Audiovisual documentation of the creative process for the artists.
