Short Description
As we become Artown Now, an art annual, our vision is growing alongside our walls. What started as a festival is evolving into an evolving platform — one that supports and promotes artists not just for a single edition, but throughout the year and across future projects. We imagine Artown Now as a living portfolio, a space where creativity meets opportunity, and where we can stay connected with artists whose work resonates with the public space.
We’re currently building our artist database — a growing constellation of talents we want to collaborate with, either now or later down the line. By filling out this form, you’re introducing yourself to us, and letting us keep you in mind as new chances emerge.
This is an open invitation to muralists, street artists, sculptors, illustrators, visual poets — anyone who uses public space as a canvas for imagination, memory, protest, or play. Whether you’ve painted cities before or are just stepping into large-scale work, we want to know you.
And if Genius Loci resonates with you, there’s a place in the form to express your interest in this year’s edition.
Eligibility
- Open to individual artists, collectives, and groups worldwide.
- Artists must be 18+ (or have guardian consent if under 18).
- All mediums and styles are welcome (painting, sculpture, installation, performance, film, music, etc.).
- Previous participants may apply, but new works are encouraged.
Submission Requirements
- Artist Statement (max 500 words) – Describe your practice and proposed work.
- Portfolio – 5-10 high-quality images (or video/audio links for time-based work).
- CV/Résumé (max 2 pages).
- Project Proposal (if applicable) – Outline your vision, technical needs, and setup requirements (max 1 page).

Program Benefits & Awards
Selected interventions receive a fixed production budget and cash or in-kind support. In the comparison project, the total offered was 14.220 lei (~2.840 €) for three selected interventions
