Short Description

Aspire Bursary is a professional development programme designed to support early-career creatives in building the skills, confidence and networks needed to realise an exhibition. Led by curator Ricardo Reverón Blanco, the programme offers hands-on insight into curating, fundraising, collaboration and more.

Each year, we provide three Aspire bursaries to support emerging curators and artistic practitioners from underserved social and economic backgrounds. These bursaries cover the full cost of the course and are awarded through an application process aligned with the Social Mobility Commission’s guidelines.

Are you an emerging artist or curator ready to take the next step? We’re offering 3 fully funded bursaries on our Aspire course, for individuals from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds.

Eligibility

We particularly encourage applications from those who may have faced barriers to accessing opportunities in the arts including people who:

  • Have a disability
  • Are from the global majority
  • Come from a low socio-economic background
  • Hold protected characteristics that are underrepresented in the creative sector
  • Come from marginalised and underrepresented backgrounds
