Short Description:
Guildford House Open is an annual opportunity for artists working across both 2 and 3 dimensional disciplines to take part in a group exhibition at Guildford House gallery’s 17th century Grade 1 Listed townhouse located in the centre of Guildford, Surrey. It reflects the galleries commitment to showing the best of contemporary art. The selectors’ will choose approximately 100 work to be on show at Guildford House Gallery in November 2025. The Call for Entries will be open shortly. The winner of the Guildford House open will receive £1000 and the prize of a solo exhibition in 2025.
There is no set theme—our aim is to present the best contemporary art, whether 2D or 3D, across a range of media.
Application Requirements:
Entries may include paintings, sculpture, drawings, photographs, moving image, textile, prints or mixed media. Digital prints and collaborative artworks can be submitted (see rules and guidelines for further details). No Giclée reproductions, or copies of original works generated in other medium will be accepted.
Exhibits must be original, the artist must have all rights to the work.
Works must be for sale.
To enter this opportunity you will need:
- To register and complete an application form.
- An image of your work that is under 5MB, and is a JPEG, jpg, PNG.
- Details of your work: Title, Dimensions, Medium, Price.
To submit work, please go to online entry and complete the entry form where you will be asked to enter your details and pay for your submission.
We will not be accepting international applications.
Works must not exceed 18KG in weight.
Eligibility:
Entrants must be aged 18 or over and must be a resident in the UK.
Program Benefits or Awards:
Up to 100 works will be selected for a group exhibition and the winning artist will receive a £1,000 cash prize plus a solo exhibition
Entry Fee:
Entry fees are: £15 for the first submission and £10 for additional artworks. Artists may enter up to 4 artworks. Please note that payment does NOT mean your application is complete. To complete your application you must upload an image of your work(s). If you have successfully registered you will be able to edit your entry via the online entry tab.
