Short Description
The Romano Gazzera Foundation officially launches the Romano Gazzera Foundation: Gazzera Prize, an art competition for those who have graduated and for the student body of the Academies and Art Institutes of the Piedmont Region.
The goal is to pay homage to the memory of Romano Gazzera and, at the same time, stimulate new interpretations of his pictorial language and his visual thought, with an eye to the future.
The theme of the competition
In addition to his paintings, Romano Gazzera left us an intellectual legacy collected in his words.
For this reason we decided to take inspiration from his book “A life for a flower“ (Bolaffi, 1974), in which he anticipates a reversal in the hierarchy of values between man and nature.
Participants are invited to create a work that explores this vision – the relationship between man and nature, the metamorphosis of human perspectives – in a current and personal way.

- Pictorial work.
