Short Description
We see happiness as resistance as a conscious practice of creating spaces of joy, tenderness and mutual strengthening – not as an escape, but as a collective act against resignation and isolation. We are interested in the aesthetics of resistance – from historical struggles to today’s confrontations with authoritarian and right-wing extremist forces. To this end, we want to forge alliances between collectives, artists, activists and civil society, use different media, work in an ecologically sustainable way and use AI and social media – not for neoliberal optimization, but for new, transformative spaces.
Eligibility
In 2026, the FLUCC – Kulturzentrum am Praterstern – invites artists, collectives, curatorial teams and music/club crews to submit collaborative, interdisciplinary, and experimental projects. We are looking for formats at the interfaces of art, activism, club culture, body, care, political imagination, digitality and intersectional practices.
Artists and music collectives will be networked in a three-part matching process to jointly shape the interdisciplinary evening and supported by the FLUCC with technical support, production and public relations.
