Short Description
INSTINC is bringing something fresh to Singapore Art Week 2026: a one-of-a-kind exhibition where the act of making becomes the show. We’re transforming our gallery into a lively, communal studio, inviting artists to create live in front of the public, share their process, and turn experimentation into performance.
Whether you work in painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, or anything in between, we want to see your work come to life on our walls! Each artist will have a 100cm x 100cm space to work in, and all mediums are welcome.
Artists who have worked with INSTINC before will be automatically accepted!
Eligibility
We welcome both local and international artists. The program accepts all forms of contemporary art across any medium, including performance, visual arts, photography, and more. The only requirement is that your work is made live during the event.
No theme is imposed. This program is about showcasing your unique voice and creative process. We encourage artists to bring their own ideas and experiment freely within their allocated space.
Your physical presence is essential to this program. Each artist is assigned one specific time slot during the 6-day schedule, where you’ll create your work live on-site. At the end of your session, you’ll hang your completed work on your allocated wall, where it will remain until the exhibition ends on 31 Jan.
