Short Description
The William Way LGBT Community Center has announced the open call for its 20th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, the longest-running annual LGBTQ+ art exhibition in the region. The 2025 edition will be especially significant, marking the 20th anniversary of the exhibition and serving as the kick-off for the Center’s upcoming 50th Anniversary in 2026.
This year’s exhibition will be juried by Stamatina Gregory, Head Curator and Director of Exhibitions and Collections at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, the world’s only dedicated LGBTQIA+ art museum.
Eligibility
The opportunity is open to Philadelphia-area artists who are 18 or older and identify as LGBTQIA+. Eligible applicants must reside in Philadelphia or its surrounding counties (Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Bucks Counties in Pennsylvania; Camden, Gloucester, or Burlington Counties in New Jersey). Participation is free, and a total of $1,200 in awards will be distributed.
All forms of visual art are eligible including collage, drawing, painting, photography, prints, multimedia, sculpture, and video. Photography and digital artwork must be printed by the artist. Video work will be installed by Exhibitions Manager with our own screens and headphones (please provide captions for accessibility). Artworks should be no larger than 42 inches in any dimension, weight restricted to 40 pounds. 2D artwork must be wired and ready to hang. To maximize participation in our 20th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, this year there will not be a theme.
