Short Description
The New Art Gallery Walsall and Multistory are pleased to announce that we’re now accepting applications for Assembly 2026. Assembly is an annual exhibition programme of newly commissioned work by emerging artists based in the Black Country, held in partnership between Multistory and The New Art Gallery Walsall.
Eligibility
The programme was initiated as part of Multistory’s artist development programme BCN, which provides local emerging artists a yearly programme of commissions, residencies, and opportunities for critical engagement and collaboration outside of formal arts education. Assembly platforms emerging artists from across the region, and makes space for them to push their practice and experiment with making new work.
This opportunity is open to visual artists who are currently living and making work in the Black Country (within the Sandwell, Walsall, Dudley and Wolverhampton boroughs.)

- Examples of your work, max. 10 images (links must be provided to access any film or sound works).
