Short Description

The Mapping Festival is organized by PPING, a non-profit cultural organization based in Geneva, which counts about 30 members in 2025, including many active artists in their field.

One’s goal is to promote audiovisual, technological and trans disciplinary arts on the French-speaking part of Switzerland and to promote them internationally.

PPING organizes several events per year, collaborating with numerous cultural partners, organizations and institutions and created the Mapping Festival in 2005. The festival takes place every year in May presenting exhibitions, installations, performances as well as conferences and workshops.

The must-attend event for audiovisual, technological, and transdisciplinary arts, and one of the leading festivals of its domain in Europe is back in May 2026. As a pioneer, the festival has pushed the careers of several young artists who are now renowned internationally.

In line with its aim of exploring contemporary technological creativity—particularly real-time audiovisual systems and proposals, transdisciplinary performances (including live arts), and immersive experiences—the organization continues to delve deeper into the intersection between art and science.
