Additional Details

The Yale School of Art is a graduate school, and its four MFA programs are the School's primary degree programs. The undergraduate Art major is hosted within the School but is administered through Yale College, so applicants should follow Yale College's separate admissions process and requirements.

The School admits one MFA cohort annually for the fall semester. It does not offer deferred admission, and offers are valid for the academic year in which the application is submitted.

The School of Art practices need-blind MFA admission: applicants' financial need or ability to pay is not disclosed to the admissions committee.
