30works30days is a challenge to encourage daily making, risk taking and experimentation for artists. Artists anywhere in the world can sign up to make a new piece of work every day during April and show it on our website.

How does it work?
Every day between 1-30 April, make and upload a new artwork before 23:59pm, UK time. You can upload an image, write some text, or link to a video or audio work.
If you miss a day, you’re out of the project.
At the start of each day you’ll get a playful prompt on email. Follow it, break it, ignore it – the prompt is there if you feel stuck. You don’t have to follow it.
We select 5 artist posts at random each day to highlight on our Instagram account.
We show the artworks you make on our website: on a single page per day, and on your Artquest Exchange profile page. Anyone can see the works you make throughout the project unless you choose to make a post private. You own the copyright of your own work.
The project is intended to be a nurturing and encouraging space for artists to play and have fun with their work.
To join 30works30days you need to set up a free Artquest Exchange account. Artquest Exchange is our free international professional network for individual visual artists anywhere in the world. Members can contact other artists to get advice, share tips, and find out about the local art scene. In 2024 we will be adding more functions to help artists share materials, find paid work, and improve our search and filtering functions. During 30works30days, you can message other artists taking part securely on to send some compliments on their work, make new connections, or talk about your practice.
What else do I get for taking part?
Alongside the creative benefits of taking part:
- We’ll host some online crit groups (in English) to meet other artists and talk about your work. Demand for these sessions is high, and we can’t host everyone who wants to take part.
- With your free membership of Artquest Exchange you can also connect with other artists around the corner or around the world.
- We will hold an online party for all participants on Gather at the start of May 2024, so you can meet each other online.
- Every day 5 artworks will be chosen to be shared on the Artquest Instagram account.
