Artshack Brooklyn Artist in Residence

Artshack Brooklyn is a nonprofit ceramics studio located in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. We are working towards accountability as an anti-racist, queer-affirming organization that celebrates the creativity of youth and honors people of all abilities. We believe in the healing powers of clay!

About Artshack’s AIR Program

Launched in 2020, Artshack’s Artist in Residence offers a three-month studio program for artists to produce work in clay. Artshack invites applications from artists at any ceramics skill level. Artists may be ceramics artists, or may have never worked with clay before. They should be open to experimentation and the unpredictability inherent to the ceramics process. The residency culminates in an 6-week show at our experimental gallery space, Keepsake. The work presented will reflect the artist’s work during the residency.

Applications for Artshack’s AIR program are open NOW through April 1st, 2024. We encourage all applicants to visit Artshack before applying.
