Photosynthesis Magazine is holding an open call for their first issue to be released in June 2023. The theme for their innaugural issue will be “Origins”. All submissions should fall into this theme of beginnings, starting anew, and rebirth. Works can (and are encouraged to) explore philosophical ideas about origins.
This call is open to all artists worldwide!
Submission and participation in the magazine is free. After some deliberation, the team has decided that we will no longer be charging participation fees. Our original take on the matter is that a lot of art opportunities ask for a fee to participate. Galleries, other indie magazines, websites, fairs… the list goes on! However, this magazine was created to be uplifting for artists, not hindering. We don’t want it to look like you paid for your ticket into the magazine- we want it to truly be based on the quality of your artwork and the stories you tell. THAT is the heart of this publication.
