Common Ground: Open Call for Decolonial Art Education Residency

The collective WEBS is committed to the creation of artistic and creative spaces which promote the horizontal exchange of knowledges and in which perspectives, narratives and practices for a sustainable future can emerge from the collective. Our aim is to collectively explore other ways of relating to each other and the world around us through artistic and creative practices. In partnership with Haus der Statistics and Refugee Week Berlin, we will select 10 artists from diverse creative practices to join a regenerative community project, through an hybrid education and art residency program ending with an Exhibition.

Eligibility Criteria:

Open to international creative individuals, artists and researchers based in Berlin or with disponibility to join in person activities during the summer. Focused but l limited to:

individuals with migration background

Women and Queer identifying individuals
Young and emerging actors

Deadlines and important times:

Application until 26/02
Selection process & start of the Program end of March online – May-June in person – Program end last week of June 2024 with the exhibition in Berlin at Haus der Statistik

Awards offered:

Opportunity to exhibit art works as part of Refugee Week in partnership with Counterpoints Arts and Refugee Week, and network with local artists and cultural professionals
