CURRENTS New Media is pleased to announce our annual open call! (Open to local and international artists)
We are trying something new this year. In addition to the annual festival, we will be presenting three separate, smaller exhibitions throughout 2025, each focusing on one or two modalities of art and technology: Sound Environments/Installations, Artist/AI Collaborations, Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality Environments, and Robotics/Kinetic/Electro-Mechanical Objects and Installations.
This submission process allows you to submit work in these categories for either the festival, the exhibitions, or both.
Deadline: November 4, 2024
Submit to the following categories for the 2025 Festival:
•Installations (interactive and non-interactive)
•Sound Environments/Installations
•Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality Environments
•Artist/AI Collaborations
•Robotics/Kinetic/Electro-Mechanical Objects
•Multimedia Performance
•Digitally Generated or Fabricated Objects
*Artists in most categories may be eligible for travel, lodging, shipping and equipment support.*
