Decagon Gallery is an online photography gallery located in Brooklyn, NY.
The upcoming exhibition, Fictional Narrative, offers a $300 cash prize to the first place winner. We are looking for images that portray a fictional place, event, person or thing in a unique manner. We’re looking for images that tell a story, convey an emotion, or capture a moment in time. The possibilities are endless: you might submit a portrait that captures the essence of a person, a landscape that evokes a sense of place, or a still life that suggests a larger narrative.
This contest is open to all photographers over the age of 18. All images must be the sole work of the person submitting and must not infringe on anyone else’s copyright or personal likeness.
Fictional Narrative celebrates the art of visual storytelling and invites photographers to submit their most captivating, evocative, and narrative-driven images.
Entries will be judged on their technical merit, visual impact, and narrative power. The fee for submission is $30 for up to five images, and $4 for each additional image. The accepted entries will be showcased in an online exhibition from mid-November through the month of December, a video will be uploaded to YouTube, and an exhibition catalog will be available for purchase.
The deadline for submission is November 10, 2023. The exhibition will be online from November 15 through December 31, after which it will be posted in the PAST exhibitions section.
Decagon Gallery publishes several online exhibitions—group exhibits, solo shows and featured photographers. Our “Flash” exhibitions are free to enter with no other fees, offering photographers the opportunity to participate in an international exhibition without any cost.
The First Place cash prize of $300 will be awarded to one First Place winner, as decided by our jury. The prize will be distributed via PayPal unless other arrangements can be made. This is the gallery’s third cash award exhibition—the previous two awards have been distributed to the winners.
