Edenhope Artist Residency is excited to be able to offer four funded places for 2024 generously sponsored by West Wimmera Shire Council.
Open to Australian and international artists the funded places offer a small stipend of $1000AUD and covers the full cost of the residency fee for one month ($1500AUD). Artists will still need to cover all their own travel, food and art material expenses that are not covered by the stipend.
The stipend is payable upon arrival in AUD. The funded month residency can be applied for as part of a longer self funded stay of up to three months.
There are no expectations about what you will use the residency for but we expect selected artists to conduct at least one public event such as a creative workshop (for adult participants), an artist talk, demonstration, performance or educational activity in conjunction with the local schools. An exhibition of work created during the residency would also be highly encouraged.
Applications for funded places are due in by March 15 2024 for residencies to take place between June 2024 and April 2025.
To apply for a funded place please apply here. There is no application fee.
Our residency program is open to all types of artists, scientists, makers, designers, and educators looking for time and space to work on their own projects in an open-plan studio space. Activities held at EAR include workshops open to the local community, artist talks, and pop up exhibitions and performances. EAR aims to engage international and local Australian artists interested in experiencing a new location with stays between 1 and 3 months.
