Dear Artits, this year there is the possibility for students of the Saarland universities to apply separately for the festival. All other artists can still submit their proposals via the general call for entries.

We are looking for artistic positions from the fields of sound art and experimental music for the Experimance Festival 2023. Applications are possible as solo artists and/or as a group.
We are looking for already existing work approaches in the following categories:
1. EXHIBITION
Artists / groups from the fields of installative sound art, sound object and DIY instrument for a sound art exhibition within the framework of the festival.
Exhibition setup: 09. – 12.07.2023
Exhibition duration: 13. – 16.07.2023
Exhibition dismantling: 16. & 17.07.2023
2. CONCERT & PERFORMANCE
Artists from the fields of sound performance and experimental music. The use of self-made sound generators, untypical ways of playing and/or the use of everyday or not so everyday objects as instruments should be in focus.
3. WORKSHOP & LECTURE
Artists from the fields of sound art, performance and experimental music for participatory workshops, interactive formats and lectures
4. DJ & LIVE_SETS
DJs and musicians from the fields of ambient, soundscape, electro and experimental music.
5. FRENCH ARTISTS
The year 2023 marks the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Élysée Treaty. Therefore we invite French artists in particular to hand in their submissions in the above-mentioned categories.
This particular call for proposals is a cooperation between the French Consulate, the City of Saarbrücken, Nantes Métropole and the Experimance Festival.
Further information:
Financial compensation will be paid in the form of an honorarium.
Travel and transport costs of up to 180€ may be covered.
Separate regulations apply to the payment of travel expenses in category 5.
