The Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual juried grant awarded by Foundwork to recognize outstanding practices by emerging and mid-career artists working in any media.
2024 Foundwork Artist Prize: International Open Call
This year’s honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant and remote studio visits with each of this year’s esteemed jurors. The honoree—and three shortlisted artists—will also be invited for interviews, as part of our Dialogues program, to further public engagement with their practices.
To be considered, artists will need to register (if you haven’t already) and maintain a published profile on Foundwork, with at least 6 artworks and an artist statement published on your profile page, throughout the 2024 selection period: 11:59 pm PT, September 26–11:59 pm, December 31.

Open to artists working in any media. Open to artists residing anywhere in the world with limited exceptions. See FAQ and Prize Rules posted on Foundwork website for instructions and terms.

Foundwork is a 501(c)3 charitable organization whose mission is to support access and recognition for contemporary artists wherever they are based. We provide a dedicated online platform where emerging and mid-career artists can share their work with curators, gallerists, and other prospective collaborators across the global contemporary art community. We also host ongoing programming, including the Foundwork Artist Prize, to foster engagement and interest for participating artists.
