Green Olive Arts is an artist residency and collaborative art space in Tetouan, Morocco
Our mission is to resource creative individuals of both emerging and established artistic talent from around the world in seasons of inspiration, production, collaboration and cultural exchange here in Morocco.
Green Olive Arts invites artists from a wide range of disciplines and mediums to apply for residencies of 3-6 weeks during set residency periods each year. We accept visual artists, writers, poets, curators, scientists, choreographers, puppeteers, and more. Our local Selection Panel awards residencies based upon artistic excellence of current work and intended residency proposal.
Residencies offer creatives an opportunity to spend time in another culture and context developing new work through research and dialogue with peers. Artists are encouraged to engage the local community as part of their residency through workshops, performances, readings, round tables, and collaboration to bridge cultures and nurture innovation.
Shared (2-3 artists) and private studios are available, for up to 8 artists each season. The residency includes weekly artist lunch gatherings and connections to a local network of artists and traditional artisans. Enjoy a balance of focused production and research along with creative community and cultural immersion to stir your work to new levels. Completed and approved applications (including a video interview) will be assessed by our local selection panel before a final decision is made. Travel, housing, meals, and supplies are not included in the residency fee.

An artist’s CV featuring selected projects, exhibitions, grants, past residencies, education and contact information. (attached in an email to arthouse@greenolivearts.com)
An Artist’s Statement (about 350-400 words) describing your current work and its significance and inspiration, as well as your technique and overall vision for your work.
A portfolio containing a selection of works (max. 10), in PDF format for visual art and writing, and MP3 or MP4 format for music, film or performance work. Please include data on dimensions, materials, production year, location, publication or performance dates, etc. (attached in an email to arthouse@greenolivearts.com)
A non-refundable 200 Dirham ($20 USD) application fee is due upon application
