Innovate Grants for Art / Photo / Funding

We believe that new ideas come from sparks of inspiration and aim to provide just that, access to mighty bursts of financial support so that you can focus on making your important and innovative work.

Innovate Grant was created out of the frustration of applying to grants with time-consuming requirements. These lengthy applications took valuable time and energy away from making new work. Countless hours were always sacrificed in either writing artist statements, crafting project proposals and getting letters of recommendation.

We believe that time is one of the most valuable components to fostering creativity and innovation. Our aim is to provide the time you need to be fully immersed in your ideas and in creating your work.

Keeping the grant process simple enables us to continue to support you on your important journey of creation, inspiration, and innovation.

Our grant application is straight forward so that you can spend your valuable hours making new work rather than on time-consuming requirements like writing statements, proposals, and obtaining letters of recommendation.

Eligibility

We accept and encourage submissions from applicants 18 years or older, from around the world within the following two categories:

Art

Painting, Printmaking, Drawing, Sculpture, Film / Video, Mixed Media, Installation, New Media

Photography

Portrait, Conceptual, Still Life, Black + White, Documentary, Street, Composite, Collage

The Awards

FALL 2024 OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS — Innovate Grant is thrilled to introduce our newly increased award amounts of $1,800.00.

Innovate Grant awards (2) $1,800.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (12) honorable mentions (6 in art and 6 in photo), will be featured on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Innovate Grant’s commitment extends beyond the grant cycle by promoting the work of selected winners and honorable mentions into the future. Innovate Grant supports artists and photographers through quarterly grants. We’ve simplified the grant process, so that artists and photographers can focus on making their innovative work. The work should speak for itself and our application reflects that.
