Internationales Digitalkunst Festival

The 6th edition of the “Internationales Digitalkunst Festival” invites artists from all fields and disciplines to present their works in 3 categories:

1. Fixed Digital Media

It considers works without live elements. In this case, the work exists in a fixed state as a pre-rendered .mp4 file. Selected works will be presented in our Algorithmic Random Selected AV Exhibition at Sunny High Club & P1 MdJ Theaterhaus in Stuttgart, Germany.

Exhibition dates: 16th & 28th Nov. 2024 (from 18:00 CET)

2. Performance Art

It considers any work performed live, indoor or outdoors by one or more artists. Selected artists will have the opportunity to either show an existing performance or receive a commission to develop a new one. The performances should involve digital or analogue technology in some way and be related (but not limited) to urban landscape, city intervention, diversification, sustainability and digital transformation. Selected works will be performed in specific locations given by the festival within Stuttgart city.

Performance dates:

a) Outdoors: between March and July 2025 (dates will be defined in conjunction with the artist(s))

b) Indoors: November 2025 (dates will be defined in conjunction with the artist(s))

Line-up: solo artists and small groups

Duration: undefined

Performance or commission fee: available

Travel cost & accommodation: negotiable

3. Music Performance & Sound Art

It considers any sound project performed live, indoors or outdoors by one or more artists. Selected artists will have the opportunity to either show an existing project or receive a commission to develop a new one. Projects should involve digital or analogue technology in some way and be related (but not limited) to urban landscape, city sonification, diversification, sustainability and digital transformation. Selected works will be performed in specific locations given by the festival within Stuttgart city.

Performance dates:

a) Outdoors: between March and July 2025 (dates will be defined in conjunction with the artist(s))

b) Indoors: November 2025 (dates will be defined in conjunction with the artist(s))

Line-up: solo artists and small groups

Duration: 45 minutes max.
