Since 2010, the Kunsttreatment Gallery has placed the subject “The Male Figure” at the center of an annual, internationally acclaimed group exhibition. The concept includes the fact that well-known artists in the gallery who work on the classic theme of men’s images are constantly joined by new talents, thus enabling new perspectives on this sub-area of the figurative art world to a very diverse audience.
The approach to the “male” is artistically very individual, personal, often critical, but sometimes also humorous. Paintings, drawings and sculptures show a wide variety of working techniques and styles, including nude and portrait painting, studies, pop art, abstraction and photorealism.
For the exhibition in spring 2024, the gallery invites one artist to participate in the group exhibition with up to five works. Works that relate to the theme of “The Male Figure” and experiment with forms of representation in fine art can be submitted.
Applications must be made exclusively by email by March 31, 2024 (midnight) to tmf@kunsttreatment.com
The documents should preferably be sent as a single PDF with a maximum file size of 10 MB. The submission must be written in German or English. Only complete submissions will be accepted. We ask for the following information/documents:
– Photographs of a maximum of five examples of the work as an image with a title, year of creation, technology, dimensions
– Short biography
– Name (if applicable, artist name), contact details, website, social media links
