Heritage Malta is excited to announce an open call for a Curatorial Team for the upcoming maltabiennale.art 2026, scheduled to take place from March to May 2026.
The maltabiennale.art is set against the backdrop of over 90 museums protected by Heritage Malta, located across the beautiful landscapes of Malta and Gozo. This international festival of contemporary art aims to enhance the relevance of our museums to 21st-century audiences, showcasing innovative and thought-provoking artistic expressions.
Curatorial Team Requirements
We invite applications from individuals to join our curatorial team. Interested individuals need to have at least three years curatorial experience in contemporary art. Those with an international curatorial track record will be given special consideration. We’re looking for individuals who can work in a team, who are preferably proficient in both Maltese and English, can work flexible hours and able to work under pressure.
Objectives
The chosen curatorial team will work and collaborate closely with the artistic director and the biennale’s executive team in shaping the event’s content and oversee any related events that may emerge. The team will play a crucial role in developing and executing a vibrant and engaging program that appeals to both local and international audiences, enhancing their appreciation for contemporary art.
