‘Merely Random’ Immersive Art Exhibition in Dubai

CAW MVMT invites digital artists to participate in the “Merely Random” exhibition at Art In Space, Dubai. This immersive exhibition celebrates the beauty of serendipity and creative exploration. With an open theme, artists have the freedom to submit works that embody the spirit of randomness and artistic expression. The exhibition will run from October 2024 to April 2025. This exhibition’s theme is open, encouraging digital artists to freely express their creativity. Whether you create animations, videos, GIFs, or still images, we welcome your unique vision. Submit your work and be part of an amazing showcase that celebrates the diversity and innovation in digital art.

Submission Guidelines:

Eligibility: Open to all digital artists who can convey their own message and story through their artworks, the theme is open.
Art Formats Accepted: JPEG, JPG, GIF, Animation, Video.
Display Specifications:
- Immersive 360 Screen: Artworks will be displayed in a full 360-degree immersive environment. Submit files compatible with a 360-degree display format.
- Digital Screens: Artworks will also be showcased on four separate digital screens, each measuring 9:16 screens. Ensure your submissions are optimized for this display size.
Submission Requirements:
- Image/Video Quality: Minimum resolution of 300 dpi for images and 1080p for videos.
- File Size: Maximum file size of 100 MB.
- Format: Ensure all files are in their respective formats (JPEG, JPG, GIF for images; MP4 for videos).
Artist Statement: A brief description (max 300 words) explaining how your work aligns with the exhibition theme.
Submission Deadline: All submissions must be received by 10 September, 2024.

Art Display:

The immersive art-room includes one unit of a 360-degree screen with multi-sensory functions, such as music, high-quality perfume, and vibration. Additionally, there are four vertical 9:16 screens in the entrance. Works will be displayed on rotation in a slideshow format alongside other artworks from our members. If visitors request to view specific artworks from you or an artist you represent, we can pause the slideshows and tailor the viewing experience to their needs.

Note: Displaying artworks may be subject to removal by local laws governing nudity and other sensitive topics.
