MIFA GALLERY announces a call for artworks for their Pride’s collective exhibition, open to emerging and mid-career artists working in any medium in the South Florida region and beyond. This group exhibition will be curated by Mahara Martinez and will run from June 1 to 29.

For visual artists who address the theme of the LGBT community from the perspective of transgression and resistance.

Call requirements: 

· Visual artists over 18 years of age residing in the South Florida region and beyond may participate.

· Each participant may submit up to 3 visual works in any technique and format (painting, drawing, engraving, sculpture, installation, photography, video, performance, etc.).

· The presentation format will be digital, in high resolution (300 dpi) and JPEG format for two-dimensional works, and in video format for audiovisual works.

· The deadline for submission of works is until May 15, 2023.

Terms and conditions:

· Artists will retain the copyright to the works submitted but will grant reproduction rights for the purpose of promoting and disseminating the exhibition.

· Artists who submit their works guarantee that they are their own original works, do not infringe the rights of third parties, and do not contain copyrighted material.

· The organization reserves the right to exclude works that do not meet the established requirements or do not fit the theme of the open call.

· The selected works will be exhibited in a collective show that will take place in June 2023 at MIFA GALLERY.
