Fragments, Space for Art and Memory, through the Ministry of Culture and the National Museum of Colombia, invites visual and plastic artists, or artists with a transdisciplinary vocation, Colombian or foreign, to carry out an artistic intervention in rooms 1 or 3 of the space. The artistic intervention must recognize and dialogue with the counter-monument that hosts it.
These projects must be unique, situated within the horizon of contemporary art and propose critical reflections on the multiple memories of the conflict, not only in the Colombian context, but also in other parts of the world.
In total, a stimulus of one hundred and sixty million Colombian pesos ($ 160,000,000) will be delivered. The publication of the results of the call will be on November 4, 2024 through the FRAGMENTOS website and social networks.
Applicant profile: Visual and plastic artists, or artists with a transdisciplinary vocation, Colombian or foreign, who certify more than 10 years of continuous professional experience through documents that show the realization of exhibitions (individual or collective) or the presence in catalogs, art books or other types of artistic and cultural publications. Documents must be presented that allow the participant’s experience to be visualized in relation to the proposal to be presented in such a way that the jury can evaluate its viability and capacity for execution.
Applicants may present themselves individually or as a constituted group or collective. In the case of constituted groups or collectives, at least 50% of its members must certify an artistic career of more than ten (10) continuous years at a professional level.

Projects must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm (Colombian time) on the closing date of the call. Projects submitted after this time will be automatically rejected.
Opening date: April 1, 2024.
Closing date: October 1, 2024.
Publication of results: November 4, 2024.
