Open Call for emerging visual artists, multimedia artists and musicians! Experience Prague and its culture scene through art residency in the vibrant district of Vršovice. The NEIRO residency is a paid programme that offers spacious living space and an equipped studio located in a quiet courtyard. Selected applicants will be granted the unique opportunity to present their work to the public at NEIRO Art Lab in Prague city centre.
The programme caters to the individuality of each artist. Our team aims to encourage them/her/him meeting inspiring peers and experts, and provide suitable equipment for their work. We provide a safe space where all art forms, intellectual and creative pursuits can be accepted and nurtured. Since 2016, NEIRO has been hosting multidisciplinary residencies with visiting artists from all over the world. We accept applicants from all creative fields and career stages.
The residency space is located in a unique environment, which supports artists to draw inspiration and take advantage of the surroundings it provides. Residents will be able to use the NEIRO residential and studio space to work on their projects. An important aspect of the residence will be an introduction of the resident to the Czech art scene in the form of meetings with local artists and their work. The production team will provide necessary support to organise a public performance, screening, exhibition, presentation, etc.
Location
The NEIRO studio and residency space is situated in Prague, The Czech Republic in the peaceful neighborhood of VrÅ¡ovice, just a short walk from VrÅ¡ovické námÄstÃ. A calm place hidden in one of the courtyards inspires and encourages music, visual, or literal creation. This inspiring artistic neighborhood has begun to transform into a base for many Prague based creators, not only due to its charm, but also accessibility.

About NEIRO
NEIRO Association for Expanding Arts produces and supports exceptional projects of Czech and international artists. Our aim is to present music and art in the international context and in collaboration with influential artists and theoreticians. Through this dialogue, we want to inspire and encourage creative solutions to the situations in which our culture and society currently stand. Our organisation supports and develops collaborations primarily between the artists from the Czech Republic, Europe and Japan. We organise events in the Czech Republic, present international artists in the Czech Republic and Czech artists abroad. We bring a new view on image and music & sound through lectures, symposiums, presentations, concerts, exhibitions, performances and a festival.
